After a long career in the graphic design field, the call to paint as a fine artist was too strong to ignore, so in 1998 Jake Gaedtke started painting full time. Jake studied art and design at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Northern Colorado. However, most of his education in art comes from intense study of the masters, both deceased and contemporary. Jake has studied primarily with landscape artist Jay Moore, finding his true passion in art: painting en plein air. Jake is a founding member of the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters Association and his work is in private and public collections throughout the United States and Europe.
