Bonnie Conrad

16244_462850w850Drawing upon the iconography of western American heritage, Bonnie Conrad creates oil paintings with a joyful passion for North American rural life. Conrad personally lived on ranches in Texas, Oregon, Utah, Nevada, Montana, and Wyoming with her husband Roger, a ranch manager. Out West, Conrad painted her own five daughters, husband, and horses along with scenes of cowboys, Native Americans, and rodeos—all the time seeking to portray the exuberance of American life in the west.

Bonnie Conrad’s educational background includes a B.A. in arts, a year’s study under master craftsman Kent Goodliffe, and many workshops under artists such as Jim Wilcox, Dan Mieduch, and Carolyn Anderson. This lifetime of learning culminates in Conrad’s painterly style, subtle use of color, and mastery of light.

As a Signature Member of Oil Painters of American and American Women Artists, Conrad has won numerous awards including the Purchase Award St. George Art Museum 2021, Top 15% Bold Brush Painting Fine Art Studio Online (July 2020), and a Lifetime Achievement Award Marquis Who’s Who (2017). Her work is featured in numerous publications as well as the permanent collections of the St. George Art Museum in Utah, the Clymer Museum in Ellensburg, and the Dixie State College Collection.
